Our medium size gravel vacuum with 1-1/2 inch intake makes for fast cleaning of tanks from 15-35 gallons. This is one of the most popular sizes for beginner aquarists and helps develop good aquarium cleaning habits. The gravel vacuum features a simple up/down motion of the head for a few strokes and the built-in vacuum valve automatically starts the flow. A vast improvement over earlier vacuums that required pre-filling the vacuum head to start the flow.
