Q: Why is it this XP quick disconnect has a terrible design? The plastic cracks and breaks apart guaranteed within the first couple of years of usage. I am assuming it's a way of generating spare parts business for the vendors.

Yes, there is only one QD and it fits all versions including API and Rena Filstar Filters.

Most items on our site can be shipped to Canada. Just check out as you normally would check out on any web site. In many cases it is not cost effective to order small items but many customers get the parts they need now and add parts and accessories they will need in the near future and this usually does not add much to the shipping costs.

After your information is entered and items added to the cart you can get a shipping estimate for various methods by using the drop down box located below the section showing items in your order. If the estimate is too high just exit out before you enter any credit card or payment info.

The order will be saved for a few days so that you can check around for either a better price or better shipping costs. You can come back later if you want and finish the purchase if necessary.

This product generally has a life expectancy of a minimum of 5 years. I replace them from time to time but I've never heard of them cracking or breaking within two-years. Somewhat of a moot point since Mars Fishcare is no longer making these filters as of Jan 2020.

This filter range was discontinued more than 1-1/2 years ago. We no longer have orings to sell. We only have the quick disconnect with the Orings installed.
