The API pH test strip kit is a fast way to check pH in both Saltwater and Freshwater aquariums. The kit comes complete with 25 test strips stored in a water tight tube with moisture absorbing liner for longer shelf life. Included in the kit are testing directions and correction tips.Easy to read test strips will measure pH from 6.0-9.0 in 30 seconds making them the ideal way to get an easy and fast pH reading. For more detailed readings use the API liquid test kits.

Every hobbyist needs to measure pH at least once a month. More often if your aquarium is new, had a recent water change or if you have recently had changes in the amount of fish or livestock in the tank. pH will fluctuate with these changes and water will become more acid. Many species can tolerate some changes but will not thrive unless the pH is stable and at the proper level.
