Replacement motor for the API Rena Filstar 4 (XP4). Includes electrical coil. Bottom and top cover plus electrical cord with plug.

It does *not* include the Quick Disconnect Unit, rotor/impeller, impeller cover, canister O-ring and impeller cover seal or Black Pressure Relief Valve (black plug).

To install this motor you will remove from the old motor and install on the new motor these parts:

Quick Disconnect
Rotor/Impeller Assembly
Impeller Cover
Canister O-Ring
Impeller cover seal
Black plug

You can also purchase these parts in the Filstar Parts section of our store.

You should replace your motor only if the rotor/impeller will not turn when the motor is plugged in to the electrical outlet. This generally indicates the motor coil is no longer functioning due to old age and/or damage from running without water. Also, if the motor cover or bottom half of the housing is broken this may also require a motor replacement.

If the rotor/impeller spins when the motor is plugged into the outlet then you may need to look for other causes not associated with the motor. Please visit our blog on the Rena Aquatic site for additional information.

Q: It will fit and the flow will be similar to the Filstar 3 (L) motor. Going one motor size up or down usually results in similar performance.
