Q: I think My Motor is out. Does this replacement include the housing as well ?

The electrical coil is inside the filter housing. This is 1/2 of a motor. If the coil goes out or the housing is broken in some way you need to replace the top of the filter which include the coil. You will need to take the rotor/impeller and impeller cover from the old motor and install in the new motor. If any of these parts are damaged you will need to replace those parts as well.

This is the replacement motor/housing/orings assembly for the original RENA Filstar XP1 and the newer API Filstar S.
