A: All motors are the same size and shape. All can be mounted on any canister 1-4. However, we don't recommend going more than one size up or down. This can cause flow issues either too much or not enough.

A: All motors are new original parts received directly from the manufacturer. Most are around 5 years old. These were received here shortly after the Filstar Filster were discontinued by Mars Fishcare, API.

It only comes with parts listed. We no longer have gaskets. The listing on our site has suggestions for making your old gaskets work unless they have some type of damage. Keep in mind the impeller cover seal is a strip of material and not an actual Oring.

Sorry for the confusion. Housing is the top and bottom of the motor, Coil is built into the bottom housing. Cord is attached to coil. You will need to take some parts from your old motor. This includes the black plug, impeller cover, Orings and seals plus your rotor/impeller.
