Q: Is impeller included?

Q: My filter is an xp2. I had replace o-rings and the impeller but still don't get any outside flow. No air in the system. Do I have to replace the motor ? It is 6 years old. Thanks for your help !!!

Q: My motor is working fine. The flow is also good but there is water leaking out from the where the cord connects to the motor. Is it the inner seal?

Q: I have found the label on my filter and it is an XP S. Do you have a replacement motor or is there one that will fit? I see that this model is discontinued Thanks for your help, this has been a great filter, my second Filstar and I use it for a water turtle environment.

Q: The motor works leaks at the glued area? Is that a defect? It is a Rena XP2 Can it be reglued?

Description below from the product page:

Original replacement motor for the Rena Filstar XP2 and includes a canister O-ring and impeller cover seal .**It does not include the Quick Disconnect Unit or rotor/impeller**.

Replace if broken or if impeller does not spin when filter is plugged into an electrical outlet.

A 6 year old motor can still be tested. If you have a rotor/impeller installed just remove the motor from the filter and plug it in. If the impeller spins then the motor is not the problem. For further assistance you can call our offices at 800-968-7362 9-4 M-F Eastern time.

This is usually caused by the seals on the Quick Disconnect or the QD itself is defective. See our troubleshooting guides on the blog

Filstar S or XP1 is the smallest filter they made. It has one basket. Item number is 841550-00

I am not sure what "glued area" means. I know of no glue used in these filter motors. Please read the extensive information on leaks in our blog.
